The Section is responsible for reviewing and approving permit applications for developments within an established floodplain. Once public works plans are approved for bidding, they are sent to the Construction Section.
The Design Review Section is also responsible for establishment of procedures regarding the selection of design professionals services by state agencies and ensuring an equitable opportunity is provided to all; the encouragement of timely and expedient commitment and expenditure of appropriations for construction; establishment of the standard fee schedule for design professional services and the review and approval of design professional contracts. The Section maintains a database of all current capital improvement projects.
